Loved the location of the hotel within short walking distance to Coate Water. Handy base for those searching one night in Swindon.
Staff were very friendly and approachable - all were smiling. I required some local knowledge about a nearby town but receptionist was unable to supply it. My room was very nice.
Menu for eving meals
Comfortable beds. Modern, clean reception and lobby area.
The rooms were dated and in need of updating. The bathroom had a broken soap holder on the wall, the bath was marked and the shower curtain had stains on. On the second night of our stay we arrived at our room to find our key card had been deactivated even though the rece[tion staff had confirmed we were staying for 2 nights when we checked in. Food overpriced.
Proximity to our friends` home. Good beds. Room good standard. Night staff most courteous. Bar tender very nice
We booked a restaurant table to host our friends. We cancelled and ate out at a better restaurant at lower prices.Menu, winelist and restaurant were like a BHS Canteen except for the extortionate prices (for what was on offer). Also, on being handed the menu, was told, No Rump Steaks, No Gammon, this , before start of service on a Friday evening. No lift. Long walk and stairs to room (215) with bags. Management Assistants, trying to tread the company line but not really interested. Cooks wandering around reception with nothing to do.
OK - no better than Premier Inns
Absolute rip-off WiFi. £16 per 24 hours [I forgot my dongle]. I pay less for a month at home! Premier Inns are £3! Accommodation is fair but not cheap - why do they feel the need to penalise business people! Will not use again
we were very happy with the room very clean and comfortable. breakfast was very good and waitress service was very helpful. we would definately recommend this hotel, and would stay there again
I found the staff very friendly and helpful during our x2 night stay, especially Kelvin on reception!
My husband and I found the mattress in our double room (Room No. 234) to be hard but I suppose what was hard and uncomfortable for us, could have been comfortable for others.
We stayed 5 nights pre-emigration to Australia. The service from all sections of staff was excellent - couldn't be faulted.
The hotel was great value for money, but not the food. The evening meal of plain simple food was over priced and the wine (by the glass) was of poor quality.
the swimming pool, the location, the cleanliness
spa facilities modest in size/variety breakfast too expensive
Staff were lovely. Bar staff put on the rugby for my partner. We had a lot of questions about the local area and the girls were so nice and helpful. Lovely people and great stay. Dont be silly like us and forget your cossie.
Bar prices but thats the same at any hotel .
Experienced, friendly and helpfull staff
Very cold in rooms and in reception/bar/restaurant. Very expensive for drinks and food.
I found the total cost expensive at £178 for a single night stay. In particular I was dissappointed with the standard of the evening meal. Following a very long drive and looking forward to a nice meal I was first told that several of the menu options were not available due to non delivery of supplies and a busy evening service even though this was mid evening. I was also surprised to find a seperate service charge added to the evening meal bill. Also a standard rate of £13.95 for breakfast is high for what was coffee and mixed fruit.
